The weekend

It was a quiet weekend.  On Friday I spent the day at The Lighthouse Supported Living with Jordon working off my fine.  I started by stripping the entire lobby of years of posters and signs, filling holes and dings with filler, sanding, and then painting.  Jordon has made up a bunch of new standardized signs with the same look, feel, and font and will laminate them up and put them back up with funtack rather than tape.  It should look quite a bit nicer.

For lunch we headed down to the Rook and Raven which wasn’t that good.  I posted a quick review over on my blog.  I had to run out while I was down at The Lighthouse and I picked up a cell phone case which was a big mistake as later on that evening Jordon got a tour of the new tower and while he called me to join him, I couldn’t hear my cell phone in the new case which is too bad as I have heard how nice the new tower is going to be.

Speaking of The Lighthouse, make sure you check out this video of the nine new mental health rooms that are under renovation.

On Saturday, we ran some errands.  We needed a bunch of small stuff from all over the city and it was as good as time as any to go and get them.  While running errands, Jordon and Mark ran into AJW Sportscards and picked up 10 packs of NFL football cards.  Mark wanted to wait until he got home to open them with Jordon and Oliver wasn’t on the same page.  After each errand Oliver would pipe up with, “Marky hasn’t opened his cards yet.  He’s not being fun.”  Patience isn’t his strength yet. Saturday night we met up with Nathan and Krista for coffee at Boston Pizza.

Sunday the snow came which meant that Mark was out being a snow angel.  Jordon makes him shovel our walk and the two beside him.  Oliver went out with him and managed to make a bigger mess but had some fun while helping his older brother.  Mark does a good job and I know our neighbors appreciate it.

While Mark was tackling the snow, I am still decluttering the house.  I have found that now that I have started, I want to keep going with it.  Lee was by to pick up a bunch of his stuff but I still have some furniture that needs to go to Value Village and some will be used in the fire pit once the weather warms up a bit.
