For our anniversary, I mentioned that Jordon went out and got me a new Android powered smartphone. I really didn’t know how to beat that but Jordon had mentioned that he wanted a new messenger bag. He has never been a briefcase kind of guy but he does need something to carry things in. Indigo had a nice canvas messenger bag and I picked one up for him and gave it to him early. While we were out, we picked up a couple of Christmas gifts for friends. Jordon generally decides on the best couple of books he has read in the last year and then gives out a couple of copies to any well read friends we have. Since he already knows it is an amazing book, there isn’t much doubt it will be much loved.
I also decided to get Jordon a community membership for The Two Twenty coworking space. Jordon hates his office at the Salvation Army. It’s two tone of grey, has no window, and there is constant interruptions from staff and other managers when he is in there. It just doesn’t work for him to get any focused work done. The ability to put on some headphones and work uninterrupted in front of a large window with a coffee shop next door a couple of days a month really, really, appeals to Jordon. I don’t have any need for coworking space but just thinking about it makes me want to go down there for a day or two a month. I had plans to buy it for him this week but I got a little too busy and I am going to get it for him on Tuesday.
For the weekend, we are going to watch Mark play football on Saturday in Martinsville and then head right to the cabin where we will be meeting up with friends and also Lee and Brittney. Sunday night there is a massive fall/Thanksgiving supper which means I don’t have to cook Thanksgiving dinner.
